Experience: One to two years of mechanical experience.
Language: English or Spanish.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of general safety rules and procedures.
- Ability to use tape measure/ruler.
- Ability to take simple measurements in standard and metric systems.
- Familiar with mechanical movements of manufacturing machinery.
- Comprehension of temperature controls and gauges, pressure gauges, etc.
- Comprehension of Hydraulics and pneumatics and understanding the mechanic aspect of machines.
Duties:
- Operates and repairs assigned machines mechanically and electrically to ensure proper function.
- Prepares production items set up to meet product specifications.
- Monitors the quality of products to assure standards are met.
- Monitors material stock to determine when materials are needed to manufacture products.
- Meets productivity standards to achieve production schedules and service customers.
- Monitors and remains accountable for overall production waste.
- Maintains production schedules.
- Monitors efficiency and identifies problems.
- Completes required reports.
- Packages products to meet customer specifications.
- Responsible for housekeeping of assigned manufacturing area.
Minimum Pay: $13.00/hr
Work week: M-F, must be willing, able, and available to work overtime, weekends, and 12 hours shifts when required.
Shift-Days or Nights:
- This position is an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts when required.
- Position will train on 1st. Once training is completed employee will be moved to assign shift.
Shifts:
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
12-hour shifts:
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Duration: Temporary assignment
