Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate hydraulic press brake machines to manufacture metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Select, install, and align appropriate punches and dies for each job.
- Program machine controls based on bend deductions, dimensions, angles, and offsets.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
- Use measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges to verify specifications.
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
- Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues to supervisors.
- Accurately complete production records and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous press brake, metal fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
